In 2015 kundalini yoga became a daily practice for Deirdre when she serendipitously rediscovered kundalini yoga. Since then she has deepened her practice to include creating mala necklaces as an extension of her meditative practices. Each mala is imbued with mantras, love, and healing energy. 

​

Her company, NEFER BEAUTY, was born out of her belief in the ability of  beauty found in art and nature to heal one's mind, body, and spirit.

 

Nefer is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyph meaning beauty, goodness, and wellness. The motto of NEFER BEAUTY  is be well, be good, be beautiful. With consciously handcrafted jewelry, Deirdre aspires to create sacred jewelry and art to enhance your wellness and beauty.

Deirdre is also a mixed-media abstract artist. In 2021, she had a massive artistic outpouring where she created 100s of works on paper in a 2-month period. Since then, she has decided to pursue her passion for creating fine art in addition to continuing to create meaningful jewelry. 

​

Deirdre is an L.A. native and has a BA in Art History from UCLA. She has studied Italian art and culture in Siena, Italy. Currently she resides in Los Angeles with her beautiful, loving husband Keith. 

​

She is also a practitioner of kundalini yoga and has studied with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa for the Khalsa Way Prenatal training. She has also completed her Reiki 1 certification with a master Usui reiki instructor.

 

Her passions are chanting healing mantras and spending time in nature. She is also passionate about cooking, fashion, interior design, and art history. Deirdre also enjoys practicing other healing modalities such as working with and taking flower essences.
